The pilottest expands to anyone with a Danish cell phone number

On November 1st we finally opened up our pilot test to a larger audience. Everyone with a Danish cell phone number can now participate through our If you need a ride home from work at 4 pm, simple text “RR work home 4pm” to Matchride. Maybe one of your Messenger buddies, Facebook friends or LinkedIn contacts is driving your way…

During the pilot/beta period all rides are free for the riders, but drivers still gets paid (on our expense). The purpose of the beta/pilot test is to properly test the system, make the system more user-friendly and gather feedback.

With Matchride it’s easy and rewarding to share rides dynamically and "on-the-fly" instead of having a static/permanent agreement between one rider and one driver. You will not only save lots of money and about 500 kg of CO2 yearly which is half of the Danish governments total savings goal per citizen - you also get to keep your freedom and flexibility.
