Matchride partners up with Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy

5/11/2009 Matchride supports the Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy's campaign "1 ton less"

There are many ways for a citizen to reduce his/her CO2 emissions, such as saving electricity and heating energy. Another area where big savings can be made is on transportation. The Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy has a goal of reducing every citizen’s yearly CO2 emissions with 1000 Kg.

Since one of our main goals is to reduce CO2 and ride-sharing is one of the best ways to reduce your personal CO2 emissions, Matchride has entered a partnership agreement with Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy through their “1-ton-less” campaign. With Matchride, based on expected usage scenarios, each user can save roughly 500 Kg – half of the total yearly savings goal. You can read on their web site about other ways to save CO2.
